ISAers Experience MCI+ … The Second Year and Third Year classrooms are now equipped with LCD projector, DVD player and built-in speakers. These classrooms can anytime be converted into mini audio-visual rooms. Aside from the regular classroom presentations, this setup proves especially effective for music lessons and film showing.
Iloilo Scholastic Academy has activated the Multimedia Classroom Instruction (MCI+) program since the start of school year 2006-2007.
The second year and third year high school are designated to be the pilot classes. Classrooms under the MCI+ program are equipped with built-in LCD projectors and DVD players. (Sound system will be added during the 2nd phase of its implementation).
ISA facilitators involved in MCI+ program are all equipped with laptops, principally for their multimedia presentations in class. In order to give the best possible education, ISA wishes to stay abreast with all of technologys latest innovations and make full use of the advantages that it has to offer.
As of this writing, 16 of the ISA facilitators have started working on their individual laptops - busy designing their multimedia presentation.
According to the Executive Director, 80% of the ISA facilitators should own laptops by SY 2007-2008. And in five years all ISA classrooms will be under MCI+ program.
