Sino Language Seminar Held at ISA 65 Chi-Fil School Mentors Attended
A team composed of 3 college professors headed by Mr. Wu Lei, an official from the Jiangsu Province Overseas Chinese Office, arrived in Iloilo City on 9 August to conduct a 2-day seminar covering subjects such as child psychology, Chinese language classroom instruction, and handicraft.

The assistant dean of Nanjing Normal University College of Education, Dr. Fu Hong, talked about the “Development of Child’s Psychology and Education”. He presented the theoretical bases of case studies, which helped shed lights on the questions that arise out of the varied behavior of children of different ages. |

The team left for Cebu City on 12 August to hold similar talks.

Summer Recital
Summer vacation gives a lot of opportunities for kids to try new skills and discover new talents. Every year, ISA offers summer workshops in keyboard, guitar and drums, aside from the academic courses.

The workshop started on 11 April and had its culminating activity in the morning of 25 May at the ISA gym. |

A selection of well loved piano pieces, Filipino folk songs and contemporary songs entertained the audience as 22 recitalists showcased their skills in playing piano, guitar, and drums. |

There were also performances from selected ISAers who are taking up violin lessons at the St. Matthew’s Tutorial Hub. |

Some learners were invited to render song numbers like Francis Noel Chua who led the invocation; Ma. Allyssa Bea Duya and Jacob Lorenz Yu who awed the audience with their song numbers. |

As an act of gratitude to their parents, the recitalists offered red roses to their parents while Aaron Babayen-on serenades them with the song “Just the way you are”. The show concluded with the giving of certificates to the recitalists by Mr. Peter Chan, ISA executive director and a finale song by the recitalists entitled “We are the world”. Indeed, it was a fun way to spend summer vacation. D.C. |
ISA-Learners Council Election Held Dennis Ventilacion Voted President
For the past years, the student leader organization, ISA Student Council, had initiated talent spurs, run for a cause programs, donate-a-book missions, waste management schemes, gift-giving projects, and many more. The name ISA Student Council is now officially changed into ISA Learners Council as announced by the Executive Director, Mr. Peter Chan, during the opening of the school year.
