A Major breakthrough @ IloPRISAA Zeth, Alyssa Won in Current Events
For years, Current Events (or General Information) contest had been ISA’s most dreaded (read: hated) one among PRISAA’s academic contests. Aside from the harrowing low scores even the top three winners would usually earn, the ‘triviality’ of the answers sought from the contestants was another reason which made ISA decide to place G.I. at the bottommost of its priority.
Not this time. The 4-man strong Social Studies Division under Mr. Rodgen Jabor seriously decided to test the water, and bet its fortune on Zeth Rodario Bebit and Alyssa Faith Rivero, grade 6 and first year ISAers respectively. Apparently, the team did chart its course just fine.

| Alyssa, on her part, stretched the nerves of every spectator to the limits by engaging her third year opponent from Iloilo Central Commercial High School to the clincher round, just to give way on the fourth question (total of five). Alyssa finished second, a great feat by any measure. The high school category was held at CSCJ on 22 November. |
