27 ISAers Joined Golden Pen Brought Home Golden Glories

ISAers brought honors to their Alma Mater during the Regional Cluster Journalism Workshop Year 13 and Golden Pen Awards held at Iloilo National High School on July 31-August 1, 2010.

The activity was participated in by different private and public schools all over region 6.

ISA, despite of various other commitments such as the leadership seminar held on the same days and attended by secondary level learners, still was able to send 27 learners from elementary, first year, and second year high school to the writing workshop.

This only proves that ISAers are not only excelling academically, more so the school provides them with the opportunity to explore other fields which help promote their holistic growth.

Mary Danielle Ricaforte, a grade four learner, won 3rd place in editorial writing and was pronounced as one of the most promising writers in the said workshop .
In the elementary category, eight learners received awards in different categories such as cartooning, sports writing, and editorial writing. These learners were Alvin Lyndon Sy, Anne
Melisa Co, Patricia Bianca Soriano, Sheirese Ira Sy, Shayla Lyesa Sy, Kathleen Therese Tilos, and Dorothy Kirsten Tiu.
In high school, four ISAers received awards namely: Alyssa Faith Rivero, Selina Belle Trimañez, Michelle Breindy Uy, and Stacey Sophie Ravago, all from First Year Lu Xun.
